Complexity Management should control the entire spectrum of diversity, i.e. the diversity of products, processes and organizational structures, and ensure that this is also economical. Overly complex companies cannot survive because at some point they will no longer be able to meet ever-increasing customer requirements or will not sufficiently exploit dormant potential.
Smart Complexity Management thus involves much more than variant management and transparency about product diversity.
